Our client is a market leader in their field. A prestigious organisation, with a fantastic reputation they are currently recruiting for an experienced and capable Hygiene Manager to join their team based in Davidstow. In this role, the successful candidate will be reporting into the Interim Technical Manager.

Purpose of role:

To manage all aspects of the Hygiene activities on site to achieve the highest standards in Hygiene, Food Safety, Legality & Quality. Also ensuring service, health, safety and environmental compliance standards are met. The jobholder has the responsibility as the site lead for all Hygiene Matters. Also responsible for ensuring that the site meets the relevant retailer and IF customer Codes of Practice with regards to all aspects Hygiene. This role is part of the site Technical function and involves external interface with contractors, customers, external bodies and visitors. The hygiene manager is expected to lead the site in hygiene methodology and practice to ensure that in particular the high risk, infant formula standard areas are maintained at the highest possible standards of hygiene and microbiological safety

Knowledge & Experience Required:

-Qualified to Degree level or equivalent in Hygiene related subjects with demonstrable (at least 5 years) experience within a food manufacturing / FMCG company.
-Hygiene related qualifications (eg COSHH).
-Experience of high risk or infant formula manufacturing standards is preferred
-Excellent track record in delivering change and transition management.
-Proven ability in utilising Continuous Improvement Techniques.
-Proven budgetary control skills.
