My client who are a large utilities company are looking for an IS-U Consultant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have superb knowledge of FI-CA.

Responsibilities

- During functional design, work with functional consultants to agree a suitable design "shape", then assure the completed design deliverables against defined solution quality criteria including adherence to requirements, adherence to higher-level design documents, adherence to programme solution standards, runtime performance, data integrity, usability, maintainability, security, auditability and exception transparency.
- During build, assure the quality of solution elements (i.e. configuration objects and technical developments) against defined criteria, e.g. adherence to design documents, adherence to technical standards / best practice.
- During test preparation, work with consultants and the business to shape test scenarios, then assure the quality of deliverables against defined criteria, e.g. solution coverage, object lifecycle coverage.
- During all remaining programme phases, work with other work streams to encourage and facilitate collaboration with other work streams (e.g. Billing, Customer Service, Migration and BW) for optimal integration and alignment across the solution as a whole.
- Report outcomes of formal assurance activities to programme leadership.

Qualities

- Extensive FI-CA functional experience (at least 5 years), including strong implementation experience.
- Solid technical skills, e.g. knowledge of events and BAdIs, interface technologies, ABAP, workflow, FI-CA data model.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong team-working and relationship-building skills.
- Ideally UK utilities industry experience and knowledge of UK-specific processes (e.g. direct debit data flows) and functionality (e.g. payment schemes).
