IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR. (Windows Server, AD, Exchange, Network). - Exeter. Location: Exeter. Commutable from Yeovil, Taunton, Launceston, Barnstaple, Plymouth. Duration: Full time, Permanent. Our client is looking for an additional Systems Administrator to join the IT Systems Team, providing IT system administration and IT Services to their growing group of companies. Key responsibilities will be: Handle incoming support problems, researching/solving where possible & escalating to 3rd line support where appropriate. Diagnose & troubleshoot technical hardware, software, & network related issues. Setup & maintenance of company PCs, Laptops & Printers. Manage & maintain Active Directory & associated services. Monitor & report on established IT systems. Liaising with IT consultants, suppliers, & service providers. ABOUT YOU: Essential Skills: Proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator role (or similar). Experience of providing 2nd-3rd line support. A strong understanding of Microsoft products including Active Directory and Exchange. Experience of providing hardware and software support to Windows desktop and server operating systems. Experience of working within a virtual environment. Desirable skills: some of the following you do not need them all VMWare technologies and storage area networks (SAN). 3rd party software: Anti-Virus/Monitoring/Auditing/Backup. supporting/configuring Linux or Mac OS X operating systems. deploying and supporting Wireless networks. Strong interest in cutting edge IT technologies. Microsoft/Networking/VMWare certification. Personal skills: Excellent problem solving skills. Ability to self-manage on project based work; proactive approach. Excellent team-working and communication skills. Strong time management required, will need to juggle priorities and work on multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate must demonstrate good attention to detail, the ability to juggle priorities & be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
