CBRE are seeking an Area Cleaning Supervisor to join the facilities management team within a key customer account in the South West, based in the Devon area. Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will be a key member of the cleaning team. RESPONSIBLE FOR: Cleaning personnel within a key CBRE customer's property portfolio. PURPOSE: To supervise & control the cleaning in the designated area of our customer's property portfolio. To ensure that the contractual standard of cleaning is maintained at all times. MAIN RESPONSIBILITES: To recruit, induct & train new members of staff as required.To understand the cleaning specification for the contract and ensure that it is achieved in all buildings.To carry out regular audits on all areas of control as directed by the Contract Manager and to record all checks on the relevant forms.To carry out annual job chats for all cleaning personnel under your control.To ensure that the required health & safety training has been completed for all cleaning personnel under your control and recorded on the relevant training record card.To complete regular refresher training and ensure that all cleaning personnel are up-to-date with all health & safety regulations appropriate to their role.To carry out & record regular Toolbox Talks.To check all equipment regularly for safety and serviceability and to report all defects.To lead your teams to be proactive in completion of hazard reporting.To check accuracy of time sheets when required.To ensure that suitable cleaning cover is in place for all holiday & sick absences & to take an active role in cleaning as required to cover cases of absence through holiday & sickness.To maintain, control & ensure delivery to each building, sufficient & suitable stocks of cleaning materials & consumables to fulfil daily cleaning requirements.To ensure that you drive considerately, safely and within the laws of the road at all times.To ensure mileage forms and vehicle checks are completed monthly.To ensure that the vehicle is maintained & serviced at the correct intervals.To plan site visits to maximise time efficiency whilst at the same time minimise vehicle mileage.To establish links with Customer contacts on site and monitor their observations on cleaning standards & to deal with any complaints immediately and report to the Contract Manager.To attend training courses as required.To carry out any reasonable task requested by any member of the CBRE Management team. Person Specification: Maintain high standards of operation, attitude & personal hygieneGood organisational skillsFlexible approach to work.Ability to guide and lead personnel under your controlGood communication skills on all levels.Ability to manage your time & workload to ensure that all requirements of the contract are met on time.
