Unit Manager - Yeovil RGN - Elderly/ Dementia Number of Hours: 44.00 Shift Type: Mixed Post Type: Permanent My client is currently looking for an outstanding Unit Nurse Manager (specifically RGN) to supervise, plan, manage, direct and monitor the delivery of high quality nursing care to our residents at a lovely care home in the Yeovil Area. This role requires someone who is confident in their nursing abilities and in the ability to lead and deliver results. The ideal candidate will be someone who can be a driver for change and help raise standards to become an outstanding home. The home caters for around 100 residents, although you will be in charge of a certain number of residents on a specific unit. The home caters for those who are suffering from Dementia, Old Age, Physical Disability and Alzheimer's. As a Unit Manager, you will report to the General Manager and you will be expected to maintain high professional and clinical standards as well a continuously striving for clinical improvement. Job Requirements You will need to hold a current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) and provide evidence of continuing professional development alongside a teaching and mentor/ supervision qualification. You must have up to date knowledge of clinical practices and a strong understanding of relevant regulatory care compliance. You must also have an awareness of the clinical policy framework, DoLS/ MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines. You will have experience of working in an older person setting and producing well developed care plans, undertaking risk assessments and leading a clinical team. You will also have HR, clinical performance and complaint management experience and a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship. You need to be focused on continually improving the quality of life for the people in your care, to achieve being the leading provider of care and hospital services. Benefits £15.00 per hour Pension.
