CQR are currently working on an excellent opportunity for a candidate to join them as an Assistant to their Skilled Leather worker to develop skills as a leather stitcher. This is a rare opportunity to work in a very positive and friendly environment. The job will include general hand stitching work and will include training in stitching small sections of leather, and bonding them to metal work, you would also carry out hand stitching which would be about 70% of the job. So, if you have previous experience of machine / hand stitching in a manufacturing environment or similar and an excellent eye for detail we would like to hear from you. About the job. You will need to be manually dextrous with strong hands and a keen eye for small details. The Job. - The job will include stitching small sections of leather, and bonding them to metal work, they would also be trained up for hand stitching which would be about 70% of the job. - Assisting in general manufacturing assembly when required. - You will need to be highly quality driven as our clients products are produced for a high end market and need to adhere to strict quality standards. - You will need to have excellent manual dexterity and a real eye for detail. - You will be very well organized and efficient and be able work within a positive and friendly team. The Right Person. - Previous hand sewing or machine stitching experience within a manufacturing environment is preferrred. - Quality driven with experience of working to strict quality control requirements. - You will need to be manually dextrous with strong hands and a keen eye for small details. - The position would suit a candidate who is looking for a long term position. - This is a close knit and happy team and you will need to be able to work well in a team environment.
