Subject Leader for Modern Foreign Languages: Spanish preferred, but will consider a French specialist

Full time – Permanent
Salary £22,467 - £38,250 + TLR2a = £2639
From September 1st 2017

We are looking for an outstanding Subject Leader to raise standards in MFL at Marine Academy.  Ideally this will be a Spanish specialist who can introduce this additional language to the curriculum at MAP.  We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and hardworking individual with the ability to lead the MFL subject area in the development of its curriculum and quality of teaching and learning, in order to raise the outcomes of students in both French and Spanish.

Prospective candidates should have a proven track record of good and outstanding teaching, producing excellent outcomes for students.  We are seeking a subject leader to join the Marine Academy team who can contribute to the success of MAP. The successful candidate must be able to evidence skills at a high level and demonstrate the ability to use strategies which work towards raising standards; they must also have a boundless commitment to pedagogy in practice.

For those applicants with a Spanish specialism, the ability to teach French would be desirable, however this is not essential.
