Casual Nursery Practitioner - MAT cover
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Casual Nursery Practitioner to join Tops Day Nurseries to support with covering shifts at our local Nursery Settings. About the Role
Here at Tops Day Nurseries we have an outstanding reputation in delivering the best quality childcare across the South-West, operating 18 nurseries and 9 play club across Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset, with nursery number 19 coming soon!
Your key responsibility will be to work successfully as part of a team with other practitioners and management to provide a high standard of emotional, social and intellectual care for all children at the nursery, whilst ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children at all times.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who is flexible and available at short notice so that the Nursery has the required staff at all times. Every Tuesday is when you will usually be notified by email as to whether and when the nursery needs you for the following week.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about child care/development and ensuring each child's safety is a priority at all times. You will be provided with a fantastic support network, and career development opportunities.
For this role it is imperative you have a Level 2 Childcare qualification or above, and have post-qualifying experience with children ages 0 to 5 years old.
You will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to engage effectively with other team members and senior management.
Moreover, we can potentially provide you the training to achieve your Level 3 qualification in Childcare if you are aged between 17 and 24 years of age. For this you will need to have GCSE grades A*-C in both English Language and Maths.
A clear and valid DBS is paramount and overseas applicants will need a clear and valid certificate of good conduct. Please note we will conduct a suitability check prior to interview.
Your Responsibilities and Duties will involve:
Contribute to a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children and the Early Years Framework.
Build good working relationships with parents and other family members, alongside management and other colleagues.
Assist with daily, weekly and monthly checks around the nursery and assist in making the sure the nursery is clean and safe at all times.
You will be extremely positive and outgoing, with a real passion for developing your career as a Childcare professional.
