Commercial Finance Manager - Hinkley Point, New Nuclear Project You will be joining a primary contractor for this multi-billion £ nuclear project. Responsible for ensuring that the Commercial and Financial management activities are carried out effectively to NEC3 contractual standards. You will be working closely with Operational Management and regularly liaise with a range of wider internal and external programme stakeholders. - £50,000 - Permanent - 33 days holiday - Pension - Benefits package This role will be split 50/50 on site at HPC and at local offices in Bridgwater. Commercial duties: - Lead on developing compiling and distributing contract performance reporting for both internal and external users - Provide contractual and commercial advice to Operational Management to support on matters such as: key commercial risks & mitigations, key contractual rights & obligations, revenue enhancement and cost control opportunities - Lead on protecting the business' commercial position on any material contractual disputes, working closely with the Legal and Operational Teams, including: delivering commercial analysis, developing and recommending commercial strategy and plan, planning and execution of that commercial plan Financial duties: - Providing financial reporting and analysis supporting revenue enhancement and cost control through operational processes / efficiency's - Follow the set processes and procedures to produce the management accounts in a timely manner, ensuring the necessary contract controls are in place for accurate contract accounting - Ensure that company financial controls are applied consistently across the contract, both in relation to accounting activities and also driving policing compliance through the operational teams. - Ensure relevant balance sheet accounts are well maintained and properly controlled - Control all inputs to be able to produce accurate and detailed contract PL's and Contract Reporting Pack You: - Strong, demonstrable commercial awareness - Sound understanding and experience of management accounts - CIMA / ACCA - A high standard of written presentational skills - A target/profit driven attitude with a focus on delivering results. - Demonstrable commercial technical knowledge and experience - Experience with NEC contracts (desirable) - Proven dispute resolution process experience (Desirable) - FM or construction background (Desirable) - Legal knowledge of contract forms (Desirable)
