About the Role We have several fantastic and rewarding opportunities for you to support a young gentleman living in Torbay. He lives in the family home where support will be required during the day and/or night. We have various shifts available including casual hours and one weekend per month; Friday, Saturday and Sunday. In addition to this, 28 respite shifts will be required throughout the year. I was born with hearing impairments and additional health conditions. I want to lead a happy and fulfilling life – I need you to help make this happen About You and Me It’s really important that you’re a confident BSL Level 1 user as this is my main communication style; I can get frustrated when I’m not understood. However, my family and other dedicated support workers will be able to help you and offer guidance of my needs and preferences. Once you get to know me we can connect over my hobbies as I like animals, computers and photography. I’m passionate about bowling and football; I support Manchester United. You could have a great impact on my life and help to give my family well deserved break. If you can make a difference, we’d love to hear from you For an informal discussion about this role, please contact Lisa Burwood on: 07970130268 As the ideal candidate, you will be willing to work towards both a Level 2 in BSL and Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
