Finance - MI Analyst

Sanderson Finance are looking to appoint a Finance - MI Analyst on behalf of a leading organisation within the professionals services sector based in central Bristol. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the on going development of the company's financial reporting and new MI system.

Main Duties:

  • Contribute to the on-going development of the business' financial and reporting applications.
  • Support the Finance team and senior stakeholders as required in presenting timely and accurate information to the business.
  • Prioritise requests whilst responding appropriately and efficiently to ensure that the relevant people are updated on progress.
  • Develop a detailed knowledge of the data sources within the finance and related applications.
  • Interpret requests and develop the necessary skills to deliver the information using the most appropriate solution and in a clear and concise format.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with key stakeholders and become a go to person for quick, accurate and understandable solutions.

Key Attributes:

  • Proven experience of working at a similar level.
  • Excellent IT skills including ability to write and run SQL queries, knowledge of database structures and of reporting tools.
  • Previous experience of working in a finance team and familiarity with financial measures is desirable but not essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office product and Excel in particular.
  • Ability to work with senior stakeholders and colleagues ensuring that issues are addressed promptly, professionally, openly and constructively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at senior level.
  • Ability to work autonomously and identify issues which need to be escalated.
  • Self-motivated and proactive attitude.
  • Good organisational, time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to assist with the design and implementation of policies and processes.
