With over 20 years??? experience in delivering apprenticeships and upskilling programmes across the South West, our client partners with top local employers to kick-start careers and ensure business success. They are currently looking to recruit an Engineering and Automotive Training Coordinator to work with employers and identify apprentice roles and training requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, good understanding of work based provision, excellent communication and negotiation skills, be flexible, work to targets and build successful relationships with learners and employers.

Duties & Responsibilities:
??? Promoting the level 1 to level 4 programmes
??? Helping employers identify apprenticeship vacancies
??? Recruiting young people to fill vacancies or enrolling them on to the learn2work programme
??? Undertaking rigorous initial assessment of potential learners and provide guidance
??? Agreeing learning plans to identify and meet specific training needs
??? Finding placements and undertaking Health & Safety checks
??? Completing paperwork, in a timely and accurate manner
??? Acting as a mentor for learners throughout their training programmes

Candidate Requirements:
??? Desirable qualifications in a related technical subject area with previous experience of working in that background
??? Ability to understand various engineering training currently available
??? Learning and Development Award NVQs would be beneficial
??? Prior experience of working with young people in an advisory role
??? Good communication skills and the ability to interact with staff at all levels
??? Computer literate, particularly with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
??? Willing to travel, have your own car and possess a full, valid driving licence
??? Undertake an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Scheme (DBS) check

Hours are full-time (Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm. Flexibility and the ability to work for the occasional evening and/or weekend will be required.
