Process Improvement Manager Location: Plymouth Salary: £40k - £50k plus excellent benefits This is an excellent opportunity to join a world renowned engineering and manufacturing company as their Process Improvement Manager. Process Improvement Manager - Job Responsibilities and Tasks: - This role focuses on maintaining and improving shop floor manufacturing activities & product quality. - The skill set within this function centres around analysing manufacturing difficulties, product yields & costs. - The deliverables are reliable and permanent solutions that improve process control, product yields and reduce cost through a robust analytical process which conform to all internal and external compliance requirements. - New Product Development programs for key projects are also supported by this function to ensure robust, repeatable manufacturing processes are embedded into the manufacturing routes. - The Process and Product Improvement Engineer will have excellent analytical skills to work in the Quality and Technical Team and with the Operations team on root cause analysis investigations. Process Improvement Manager - Person Requirements: The ideal candidate MUST come from the Engineering Industry as a Process Improvement Manager. You will also have the following skills, qualifications & experience: - Hold a recognised Engineering qualification such as HNC, HND or BEng - Hold a minimum of a SixSigma Greenbelt - Ideally have SixSigma BlackBelt - The successful candidate will have proven product & process improvement skills. - You will be highly motivated to succeed, and self-driven. - The role will include reviewing and modifying existing processes in a controlled and methodical manner, using improvement tools and practices to ensure any changes are effective and sustainable. - It will also include supporting business identified improvement and growth projects to establish the required solution and requirements for the process and its outputs, and then undertake condition monitoring to ensure the process and the quality is maintained. - With successful performance there will be career progression opportunities within the Company. - The ability to influence and control key business KPI's. - Experience in delivering improvements in product quality, yields and processes. - An analytical mind and be capable in solving complex manufacturing challenges. - The ability to work with multiple teams of people to manage structured plans. - An organised and structured approach to tasks and project management. - An engineering or metallurgical experience or background. - A high IT skill level and an understanding of ERP systems. - Excellent communication skills at all levels in the Business. - The desire to play a key role in developing a successful and growing business. - Continuous improvement experience in an engineering / manufacturing environment.
