Gap personnel are proud to be representing a leading organisation in their search for an Insurance Consultant.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Team Manager you will be selling or renewing Insurance policies directly to clients through Inbound/Outbound calling. Utilising warm leads from within the business to sell or renew Insurance policies whilst meeting/exceeding sales targets.

KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Handle a high volume of Inbound/Outbound calls and record the results of all leads and customer interaction.
Sell or renew Insurance directly with the client.
Keep up to date with products and pricing to ensure correct information is given to the client.
Ensure that offering a high level of customer service is always at the forefront of your actions.
Answer customer communication efficiently and effectively to agreed company standards and targets, whilst maintaining appropriate records.
Understand how to source your own leads from existing data.
Ensure ALL Prospect and Lead Management systems and procedures are followed and information is updated based on a regular plan.
Achieve performance measures
Accurately deal with all administration, payments and midterm adjustments.
Build and maintain good working relationships with letting agents in order to maximise potential business.
Build and maintain good working relationship with colleagues and work together to provide excellent customer service and enhance our reputation.
Provide support to the Insurance Team Manager
To approach each day as a fresh challenge and with an enthusiasm to deliver.
To improve own performance through self development to achieve business goals.
Attend and actively participate in your team meetings; on current issues.
To make effective use of the technology available to ensure a fast, accurate and efficient response is given.
To ensure tasks are completed within agreed time scales.
Always represent the company in a positive manner.
Any other duties that the company may reasonably ask you to perform which are within your expertise and skill sets.

CORE REGULATORY COMPETENCIES:

Comply at all times with the FCA's (and any other applicable regulator), principles, commitments, and Codes of Practice.
Must achieve the minimum level of competence for the role relating to company/regulatory/legal standards (As tested against annual product knowledge/Complinet courses/internal audits as required).
Ensure awareness of, and adopt any changes in regulatory practice as advised by management.
Report all failures to comply with requirements immediately to Line Manager.

Education / Qualifications
Essential
GCSE in English Language and Maths (or equivalent)
Desirable
Diploma or Degree

Experience / Knowledge
Essential
Sales experience (minimum 2 years)
Experience of working to targets
Basic PC skills
Desirable
Campaign or inbound/outbound calling experience
Knowledge of insurance
Advanced PC skills and previous database experience
