Location Yeovil14 Hours per weekContract type: Fixed Term Contract until the 31st December 2017Salary: GBP 15,977 pro rataAbout the roleThe post holder will primarily be based in Yeovil District Hospital and will be required to travel throughout the local area. The post holder will support the Co-ordinator in the delivery of the British Red Cross A&E Assisted Discharge service. This involves the transportation and resettlement of vulnerable patients from hospital to their home. The work hours of this post will be from 11am - 7pm and will be for cover on Thursday and Fridays(although an alternating two week pattern is being discussed). The service does not operate on weekends or bank holidays. The main aim of this service is to prevent and reduce hospital admissions. It will be generally working from a hospital ward but will involve lone working.A Red Cross vehicle is available for use but the post-holder needs to have a full drivers licence and access to their own vehicle.About the organisation The British Red Cross helps millions of people in the UK and around the world to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies, disasters and conflicts.
