HR Business Partner

Location: Flexible (role covers multiple locations across the South West)

Remuneration: GBP45,000 - GBP55,000 plus strong benefits package including excellent bonus & company car

Details: Working for a FTSE 250 manufacturing business we have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and confident HR Business Partner to join on a full time and permanent basis.

This is a regional business partnering role in which you will be expected to support a number of sites across the South West of England.

Reporting the Head of HR Operations and working alongside two HR Business Partners, you will act as a change agent, contribute to the HR strategy and work closely with leadership teams in driving forward performance.

Duties and Responsibilities consist of:

  • Lead the HR agenda by delivering a business focused HR service to the site leadership teams
  • Attend management meetings to gain understanding of the sites' business performance and challenges, both operationally and commercially
  • Develop and implement HR plans that support local business strategy/performance and UK HR strategy
  • Use the HR dashboard to shape and drive local action plans
  • Act as the primary point of contact and provide advice for employee relations activity
  • Manage complex employee relation issues ie discipline, absence management, performance management, redundancies
  • Work closely with regional trade union organisers developing collaborative working relationship
  • Provide HR & Project Leadership on key change projects including site restructuring, closures, TUPE transfers and acquisition
  • Assist the Management Team in the process of identifying and developing internal employees with the potential to fill key business leadership positions, through systematic evaluation process and training
  • Foster true engagement by taking a pro-active role in the facilitation, coaching and advice to both the management and general employee population
  • Support implementation of HR systems, Time & Attendance
  • Lead and participate in a number of UK wide HR projects

The ideal professional:

  • Will hold proven operational and strategic experience as a generalist HR Business Partner
  • Will hold great working knowledge and experience in restructures, TUPE, Acquisitions, redundancies and complex case management
  • Will hold standalone Multi-site experience, ideally within an industrial environment
  • Will hold strong Analytical skills, demonstrating the using of metrics to analyse performance
  • Will be a self starter, hold strong drive and initiative
