Regulatory Systems Manager - Cosmetics Somerset £30k Fantastic Benefits Permanent I am currently looking for a Regulatory Systems Manager to provide expert legislative advice within a technical context, to provide legislative support to R&D and to manage relevant site systems and ensure all products are reviewed for compliance with legislation Reporting to the Chief Scientist, you will be fully responsible for: - Answering enquires on current and potential projects - Supporting enquiries from customers. Developing technical responses or communicating detail. Supplier liaison for material data and queries and third party coordination to obtain regulatory data Prepare / update regulatory procedures as required Develop technical policy/regulatory requirements information & guidance with Chief Scientist Prepare / process documentation for other aspects of business Ensure all formulations submitted to customer comply with relevant legislation for the specified market and with specific customer requirements - will require liaison with customers and development managers Ensure all new formulations have been fully tested according to relevant legislation for the specified market, including safety assessment before first manufacture Provide R&D with completed customer specifications according to agreed critical path Keep abreast of changes in legislation relevant to ingredients, products, processes and environment Ensure site management team aware of any new requirements that may affect the company. Develop and present implementation plans for legislative changes Continuous improvement: Investigate and keep up to date with best practice in the industry for main activities and recommend/implement action where appropriate Ensure the company complies with company/externally set standards for ingredients, products, processes and environment e.g. Cosmetics Directive, ADD, Detergents regulation, REACH COSHH, Establish & maintain effective communication links and raise company's technical standing with external agencies (e.g. local authority, trade associations etc.) You will have detailed knowledge of key legislation covering the following product sectors - Cosmetics, Aerosols, Chemicals with the ability to interpret detailed and complex legislative information and to provide site management with clear reports/updates You will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a personal care product development/regulatory or quality environment and have strong project management skills for the implementation of new regulations and approaches Ideally you will be degree qualified in Science or significant experience in a similar role If you are interested and would like to apply, then please send through a copy of your most up-to-date CV, together with a cover letter detailing your relevant experience, preferred location, salary expectations and reference 41787943/RSMSRWKF27 , to This job was originally posted as
