Assembly Technician / Instrument fitter Hersham, Surrey £24,000 to £28,000 Established for more than 60 years supplying Subcontract Services for a range of industries including aerospace, Medical and oil sectors. They are currently recruiting for an experienced assembly technician / instrument fitter to join the assembly team. Job Profile In this role you'll be assembling mechanical and electro mechanical components in small sized batches. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the high standards of quality are maintained for these products whilst meeting delivery deadlines. Working in a small team, you will play a key part in the production activities and will be flexible in carrying out the work involved. The products are relatively small and light and assembled at individual benches. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable company where you will be an important part of the team. Skills & Experience: - Assemble precision instruments to a high standard - Fit bearings, shafts, dowels etc. - Work to drawings, procedures and specifications - Understand fits and tolerances - Use hand tools and measuring equipment - Wiring and soldering - Working to ISO 9001 quality standard. Additional experience preferred: - Must be vigilant and diligent, with a good attention to detail, and able to maintain high standards of work - Use of literacy skills to complete route cards, records, etc. - An industrious and inquiring individual working alone or as part of a team, without direct supervision - Proven skills within an engineering environment - expected 5 yrs. experience - Willing to work overtime when required to achieve delivery dates (If you meet some, but not all of the above job description you should not be deterred from applying as applicable training can be arranged.) Hours: - 39hrs per week - Standard hour's 7am to 4pm Mon-Thu and 7 am to 12am Fri.
