Purchasing Manager - Buyer, Finished Goods Buyer, retail buyer. Somerset - commutable from Frome, Shepton, Glastonbury, Trowbridge, Wincanton £28,000 - £32,000 benefits The Purchasing Manager - Finished Goods is responsible for ensuring goods are delivered on time in full (OTIF) in line with forecast requirements. Duties and responsibilities: Full Purchase order management, from supplier placement to delivery. Own the critical path to ensure OTIF deliveries. Compile, update and issue monthly delivery schedules. Produce and analyse sourcing KPI reports, be able to manipulate data to amend/create additional views for senior management on an adhoc basis. Reports include Supplier spend analysis, delivery KPI analysis, volume and value trend analysis etc. o Create new reports from system data, be able to insert advanced formulae/other data sheets to enhance information o Use of appropriate graphs to show/compare LFL, YoY, variance results o Analyse top line information, ensuring background data is correct and propose ideas for business improvements or reducing spend. Be able to translate the data to others to initiate change. o Ensure all reports are accurate and delivered on time Work with internal departments such as pre production and quality to ensure all major critical path points are met on time, driving and managing outcome/decision to issues in a timely manner, and within budgeted cost. Drive the raw material purchasing activities (in conjunction with the raw materials team) to ensure production plans are adhered to for both internal and external suppliers. Manage priorities across supply base to minimise any delay to schedules. Oversee the UK production planning activities; ensuring production is to schedule whilst maintaining high levels of efficiency. Manage non main range requests such as special requests, off price programs; will need to co-ordinate information to/from internal departments effectively to finalise requirements and to move to production. Manage ERP data in system, in relation to all purchase order transactions e.g. po raising, financials, dates and volumes etc, ensuring correct and up to date at all times. Encourage best practice and drive new processes where the business requires. Establish and maintain good relationships with all suppliers, becoming their key contact for queries. Visit key suppliers when necessary to resolve production issues Coordinate order enquiries from internal departments e.g. customer services, corporate planning In order to apply for this role you will need to have: Management experience within a purchasing function Excellent IT skills, must be advanced level Excel (Pivot tables and V-look up's) Excellent communication and negotiation skills - both internal and external stakeholders at all levels Good team player, motivator and forward thinker Multi tasker with good delegation skills and able to work under pressure Due to the high volume of applications we receive it is not always possible to respond to unsuccessful applicants.
