Adjacency is delighted to be working with an award winning Services Company based in Exeter. Through acquisition and organic growth, our client is looking for a Head of Commercial to join and take leadership for the Commercial team which includes Telesales, Consultants and Commercial Project Managers. Reporting into the CEO, you will have a proven track record in building and managing a Sales team, implementing structure and sales processes, defining KPI’s and driving the performance of the team. You will help to expand the sales team and develop existing skills and knowledge. The role will require you to be office based with some travel to London; you will be a tenacious and driven individual who will drive to evolve their strategy, exceed targets, motivate the sales team and monitor competitor activity. Key Responsibilities: · Responsible for obtaining profitable results through the sales team by developing the structure, process, skills development and product knowledge development · Manage the sales administration function, operational performance reporting, streamlining processes and systems where possible · Advise Senior Management on maximising business relationships and creating a supportive sales environment · Responsible for delivering agreeing sales plan revenue, maintaining expense controls, meeting agreed targets and promoting the organisations products and services via the sales team · Overseeing, monitoring and reporting of: annual sales targets on a weekly basis, advising management of outcomes, reforecasting by sales person, product and services · Monitor and manage sales force operating costs and related sales training and event plans · Responsible for planning and recruitment management, direction of sales staff to accomplish specific objectives and sales team KPI’s · Planning and implementation of appraisals to outline expectations, successes, progression and administer the commission plan. The Essentials: · Experience of managing a business development team with thorough understanding of different sales processes · Experience of building new teams from the ground up to support sales models · Extensive P&L analysis experience, forecasting, budget management, modelling and delivering sales performance to targets · A confident and articulate presentation style, confident using Microsoft Powerpoint · Experience in responding to tenders, writing proposals and putting together pitch materials · Strong knowledge of website technologies, user experience, SEM and SEO. · An appreciation and understanding of the importance of delivering outstanding customer service at all times · Possess and intuitive mind with the ability to ask the right questions to understand and interpret clients and business needs You should be capable of doing the following: · Excellent administrative and communication skills; both written and oral · Possess the ability to articulate complex solutions in both verbal and written form · Capability to deal with stakeholders and clients at a senior level · A positive and flexible attitude with a drive to both personal and business success · Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage own time If you have the demonstrable experience outlined above, please send your CV to Claire Pitts at Adjacency.
