We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Executive for a renowned supplier of composite and metallic solutions for the Aerospace and Defence industries. This is an excellent opportunity to take the business to next level and be part of exciting developments across a global group. Key responsibilities include, developing and achieving group strategy through key account management and new business development across existing and new global customers, generating and achieving sales pipeline through working to achieve revenue and profitability targets in line with division and group objectives. The successful candidate will also be responsible for negotiating all aspects of the commercial contract and proposal to a successful conclusion and highlighting potential threats and resolutions to mitigate risk to senior management. Successful candidates must have a background within Aerospace and demonstrable business acumen and an understanding of customer requirements within a business which sells 'high value' and complex services or products, a hands-on approach to managing and being a member of a high performing team with the ability to make decisions in complex/ambiguous situations with incomplete data and a strong team player with a flexible attitude to work load. There are no location restrictions, however candidates will be expected to be on site in Somerset in the first 4 weeks and then once a week thereafter. Extensive travel around UK clients is the norm.
