My client is looking to appoint a flexible person who is preferably part qualified AAT or CIMA Accountant, with relevant costing knowledge & experience, to support the Finance Department in meeting monthly reporting deadlines. Main Responsibilities - Project Cost Accounting for circa 20 to 30 Live Projects at any one time, liaising with other departments projects, engineering, sales, Production Control & Procurement), - Reporting of Project Financial Performance against Budget for Monthly Management Accounts, Yearend Financial Accounts, Periodic Feedback to other departments & presentation at Project Close out Meetings - Project Revenue Recognition with consideration to Long Term Contract Accounting Principles, Foreign Currency Translation and associated Exchange Differences. - Preparation and Posting of Syteline Journals for Project Revenue Recognition & Cost of Sales. - Monthly Working Capital Cash Flow Forecasting of Revenue & Costs for up to 24 months ahead. - Euro & USD Cashflow Forecasting to identify Foreign Currency Exposure (surplus/deficit), to facilitate Forex Deal Planning. - Setting up New Project Tasks/Resources in Syteline, including Cross Refencing (linking) to Bill of Material (BOM) Job Orders, to facilitate the tracking/control of actual project costs against budget. - Administration of Higher Purchase (HP) Lease Agreements & Interest Charges. - Assist with the completion of Government Statistical Returns. - Assist with the Annual Insurance Renewal. - Assist with the Annual Budgeting Process. Required Skills - Knowledge of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system would be an advantage, particularly the Projects Module & Bills of Material. - Excellent skills to obtain data using SQL queries. Create pivot tables and understand/write/amend nested statement formulas that include V lookup & Concatenate functions. - The ability to harness the latest technology to drive through process improvements to achieve greater efficiency would be a definite advantage.
