We are seeking an experienced Technical Illustrator with a background within the aerospace industry Your main areas of responsibility will be - - Produce high quality technical illustrations and imagery to support electronic aircraft technical publications. - Ensure your work is performed in accordance with industry-wide standards eg. ASD Spec 1000D and Departmental Processes. - Establish an understanding of business activities, challenges, and objectives. Provide time allocations for tasks/projects; complete all tasks to an agreed cost, quality standard and schedule - Maintain and build a sound working relationship with the manager, team, customers and suppliers. - You will be working under minimal supervision as part of a team, and interface with technical authoring specialists in relevant changes to the drawings or information. Qualifications/Key Skills: You will be educated to at least HND level, or equivalent, in Illustration, Graphics Design or a similar subject. You will preferably have 5 years working experience within a multimedia/illustration environment. You will have an in-depth knowledge of IsoDraw CadProcess and the ability to use it to produce professional quality images for maintenance, procedures and illustrated parts lists. Utilise other graphical package (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop) to develop illustrations and manipulate photographs. You will have the skill and experience to interpret engineering drawings and 3D CATIA models and develop them into visual images. Possess the ability to develop a brief draft or concept into a professional standard image. Keyboard skills, a working knowledge of computers and computer system applications are essential, as well as excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, the ability to make sound technical assessments/judgements based on knowledge and experience, self motivated and able to work as part of an integrated team.
