Description: Hello, we're TSB, and we're different from other banks. We don't do investment banking, overseas speculation or big corporate finance. We just serve individuals and local business customers - we call it "local banking". Provision of independent second line opinion on first line risk decisions, judgements and proposals in relation to Risk Appetite by providing a continuous presence and in-the-moment oversight opinion on first line proposals. Develop and maintain the banks risk appetite framework and supporting the implementation, embedding and use across the business. Support the review of Board Risk Appetite, ensuring that documentation is created and maintained at a high standard of quality and accuracy. Owns the maintenance of our Risk Appetite database and framework. Leads Risk Appetite workshops with subject matter experts. Prepares papers for the BEC and Board to support the delivery of TSB Risk Appetite. Document and maintain the framework and standards for the articulation of level 1 risk type risk appetite Support the review of the Risk Appetite for Credit Risk; Financial Risk; Operational Risk; and Conduct Risk, document the aggregation to Board Level Risk Appetite Provide support and training to the business on the RAF and how it should be used to support key business decisions. Educates, consults and influences a wide network of stakeholders to support the embedding of Risk Appetite across our organisation Self-motivated, results focussed and driven to achieve high standards of quality. Strong experience in industry or practice relevant to accountabilities. Excellent Communication, Cultural and Embedding practice experience. Ability to tailor message and approach to suit the audience. A strong understanding of Risk-related regulation (e.g. Basel and BCBS 239 Principles for effective risk data aggregation and risk reporting) and Accounting Standards (i.e. IFRS) and its application and impact in the Retail and Corporate banking industry. An understanding of quantitative and qualitative methodologies used in the management of risk. Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills. Proven ability to communicate and influence on complex issues; verbally and in writing particularly to senior leaders Proven ability to use global perspective and diverse views and information to reach optimal solutions. Eliminates unnecessary bureaucracy to enable decision making and retains a long term focus. Proven ability to continuously improve processes and procedures. Understanding of potential digital and automated solutions relating to process improvement.
