Having embarked on an exciting period of growth and change, our client is seeking a Commercial Director to develop and deliver an end-to-end solution for its customers. This is a brand new role that will require an innovative , strategic, and solution-led individual to effectively align the organisations business units, undergoing smarter commercialisation, and negotiating viable propositions in order to successfully develop and implement an effective go-to-market strategy. Details about the Client Our client is a global, solution-led, services organisation, and a leader in its field. Detailed Job Description Reporting to the UK Managing Director, the Commercial Director will utilise their knowledge and understanding of building business models, strategic business development and value-add solutions to align and deliver strategic objectives. The Commercial Director will work closely with the Senior Management team to develop new and integrated solutions, all the while leveraging the knowledge of the existing sales teams to identify new business opportunities and sales channels, and build Trusted Advisor status within existing relationships. To effectively achieve this, the Commercial Director will guide the relevant departments on pricing policies, product selection and strategic sourcing. This role will require the Commercial Director to effectively lead a team of direct and indirect reports across numerous locations, using effective influencing and communication skills to effectively deliver end-to-end solutions to new and existing relationships. The Commercial Director will play a key role in the successful integration of business units, growth of new business and retention of existing accounts. Candidate's Profile The successful applicant will be an innovative thinker, motivated to drive change and lead teams in line with strategic objectives. Summary of attributes The Commercial Director will: Have successfully developed and implemented relevant go-to-market strategy as a result of successful integration and alignment of separate business units. Have a proven track record in developing, negotiating and implementing complex pricing models, and more simple models as appropriate. Have successfully operated in a professional, value-add, compliance-led environment. Have successfully managed change processes or been a key player in effective change management. Have a proven track record in people management. Ideally have a working knowledge of Mergers and Acquisitions. Be an effective communicator. Be ambitious, charismatic and supportive. Ideally be based in commuting distance of Mid-Somerset but willing to travel as necessary. Commuting distance of Guildford could be considered.
