Business Analyst Sitting within the I.S department this BA will have responsibility for process mapping and requirement gathering within a large scale company wide system implementation program for the next two years. The primary role of the Business Analyst (BA) is to analyse, model and challenge requirements to meet the needs of their business area. The BA takes responsibility for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organisation change. You will be joining an established yet growing team all of whom share ideas and work closely together to ensure success. Key Accountabilities: >Documents and analyses the needs of the business to achieve valid organisational goals, Financial process and system flows. >Underpins the analysis with a robust understanding of the current business situation >Defines, validates and manages business requirements >Supports the creation of robust and compelling project proposals and business cases to meet desired business outcomes >Works closely with end users and technology providers to develop logical and innovative solution designs to address requirements captured >Analyses, validates and documents existing business processes and maps functional and non->functional requirements onto the to-be process model in order to demonstrate the impact of change >Evaluates potential solutions against requirements-based criteria >Facilitates user acceptance testing of system changes and supports projects through to successful delivery, implementation and operation against pre-determined acceptance criteria >Understands and plans for the impact of business change >Ensures that all business facing documents are created and in place to sustain the use of the new Finance system >Facilitates planning for benefits realisation Candidate Requirements: Educated to degree level or equivalent Experienced with Finance or Payroll systems such as Sage/Sagex3/SAP Business 1 would be beneficial. Experience working in a business analysis role, preferably in a Finacial environment or Logistics organisation Demonstrable experience / training in analysis and design methodologies (e.g. BCS certification in BA Practice and / or Requirements Engineering or equivalent) A structured approach to analysis and adherence to project management and service delivery standards (e.g. Prince2, ITIL) Ability to build a strong internal and external resource network. Demonstrable knowledge of and experience working with project management principles, e.g. RAID logs, Project plans and budgets Data and information analysis Stakeholder engagement and management Confidence and strong interpersonal skills Influencing, facilitation and decision making Problem solving Solution assessment
