Our client based in Bridgwater, are looking for a Traffic Planner on a temporary basis, to start ASAP initially for 3 months, although this could be extended. The role is full time, 08.00-17.00 Monday-Thursday and 08.00-16.00 on Fridays. The salary is GBP9 - GBP10ph depending on experience. Overall purpose of the Job Responsible for all administrative duties within the transport office. Support the Gatehouse, which incorporates the associated fire, security tasks and procedures of the site. Provide cover for the Transport Co-ordinator. Key Tasks Arrange and organise the transport of raw materials Monitor stock availability and report any issues to the relevant buyer. Producing faxes and emails to Hauliers and Cold Stores for release, collection and delivery of raw materials. Assist with the reduction of costs Maintenance of raw material stocks on the Iren ERP System. Participating in stock takes as necessary. Providing up to date information on deliveries of raw materials Maintenance of manual and computer records. Providing holiday/sickness cover for the Transport Co-ordinator. Person specification Industry Experience Required Experience of working in a busy transport office and of cold stores/warehousing Education required Minimum A Level or equivalent Specific requirements for this position Good knowledge of Microsoft office applications This job was originally posted as
