Due to continuing business success and growth our client now have a fantastic opportunity available for a Maintenance Manager to join the team in Taunton. Working 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday). Maintenance Manager key responsibilities: • Leading and managing a team providing routine and non-routine maintenance services on behalf of operational Clients. • Maintaining a set of key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting to track maintenance services and asset performance across the Technical Support function. • Liaising closely with the operational delivery functions within Technical Support, and with the Resource Planner. • Overseeing service and maintenance contracts with third party suppliers for all gas collection systems and leachate management systems. • Seeing to drive out value by working with the central procurement team to ensure best practice is adhered to and that cost savings are realised. • Ensuring the implementation of operational procedures, processes and action plans so that risks and performance management issues are known and managed. • Carrying out investigation and root cause analysis of asset failures and make recommendations for improvements to parts, operational practices and maintenance as required. • Supporting operational delivery teams in understanding asset performance and life cycle patterns. • Providing information for strategic, tactical and asset management plans improve performance and reduce costs. • Responsibility for undertaking budgetary management of maintenance P&L spend to feed into budget processes, financial forecasting, and reporting. • Providing clear leadership to the team. • Managing and overseeing team and individual performance and capability. • Carrying out annual and timely Performance Appraisal Reviews (PARs) of all direct reports and ensure that PARs are carried out throughout the team. The ideal Maintenance Manager: • Excellent Management skills. • Self-motivated with the ability to work to deadlines and constantly juggle priorities. • Tactful, strong and resilient in demanding situations. • Interpersonal and relationship skills. • Change management and influencing others. • Well organised and logical thinker. • Financially astute with good commercial acumen. • High attention to detail and quality. • Organisation and planning. • Excellent innovative technical/engineering skills, with the ability to quickly understand, analyse and communicate information. • Strong computer literacy including Office, CMMS and finance applications • Good written and oral skills. • Proven track record of analysing asset and process data, and KPIs, to optimise performance and efficiency. • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or qualified by extensive experience. • Full driving licence In return for your hard work as a Maintenance Manager, you can expect to receive a salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum plus a range of benefits.
