Operations Manager £60K Benefits Package. Our client a World Leader in their field is looking recruit an experienced Operations Manager from a manufacturing background, the position is now available due to a Group promotion of the existing Operations Manager. The position is responsible and accountable for managing full production operations, including and not limited to ensuring budgetary compliance, profit & loss responsibility, recruitment and training of staff, performance management responsibilities. Achieve ambitious targets and results while working in a safe and quality conscious environment, leading the safety goal. As a vital member of the plant management team both practically and through leadership support and give advice and direction to others on safety procedures, policy, best practice, benefits and legislation. Give full support and consult employees and line managers in all related safety investigations. You will drive and monitor training and development of product employees in line with QA procedures and relevant training programs. Assessing plant training matrix to identify risk and needs, whilst managing succession plan for direct reports and team succession models. - Drive team development and support being a leader of change. This is a real "hands on" people management position you must be comfortable with the development of direct reports ensuring that all members have clear roles and responsibilities, with continuous performance review and setting / following up on objectives for direct reports. A dynamic leader who can attract and retain quality employees with the best skills and qualifications to ensure that standards and values are met and exceeded. Within your plant role you will ensure that all operations are delivering in accordance with planning, quality and safety requirements and that best utilization is obtained from manpower, equipment and raw materials. Adopt and support the principles to achieve a world class standard of 30. You will be degree educated or strong "proven/measurable experience" with a background in mechanical or chemical based manufacturing. Comfortable in an office environment with strong IT skills confident with the reporting/measurable challenges that this position level demands.
