We are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Technician in Mechanical Engineering here at South Devon College. You will be responsible for managing the resources and equipment, ensuring Health and Safety is maintained in the workshops and centre as a whole. You will be required to support staff and students in the workshop environment whilst ensuring the equipment and the resources are available to support student learning.
The successful candidate will need to hold a NVQ Level 3 (or above) qualification in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Technical Support and hold a CNC programming qualification/training, in multiple languages. We are looking for someone who has relevant industrial experience in an engineering environment, including turning, milling and surface grinding techniques. You will also need relevant experience of maintaining manual lathes and milling machines.
