Position: Assistant Works Manager
Location: Somerset
Salary: £37,000 per annum
Job type: Permanent
Working hours: 40 Hours/Week

Client operate an international network of facilities serving a wide range of industries including, aerospace, defence, automotive, power generation, oil and gas, construction, machine building medical and transportation.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Involvement in setting site financial & non - financial objectives and targets.
Management of all site personnel; including communication, appraisal, disciplinary, and day to day supervision.
Regular contact and communication to direct all site shift leaders.
Management and reporting of site performance and other information.
Direct day-to-day involvement of the management of company technical, quality and engineering activity.
Involvement in maintaining high standard H&S environment compliance within operational areas.
Management of customer service and maintaining and expanding existing business by direct contact with customers.
Care and security of the building and employees.
Developing production capacity.
Improving personnel capability through application of process training and education.
Contributing to change and improvement to services, products and systems.
Planning, monitoring and controlling the use of resources with budget and recommending expenditure.
Performs other duties as directed by position or required by the Works Manager.

Education, Skills and Experience
As successful candidate you will have production and sales experience in previous employment.
Strong Continuous Improvements Problem Solving Skills
Experience in managing Change within an organisation.
Extensive customer awareness. We offer full training to the successful candidate but some working experience in a similar environment is expected.
