Description: Hello, we're TSB, and we're different from other banks. We don't do investment banking, overseas speculation or big corporate finance. We just serve individuals and local business customers - we call it "local banking". Our Manager, Enterprise Risk Governance & Policy Support the development and implementation of a Bank wide approach, strategy, and roles and responsibilities for risk management activity, leading on key aspects. Provision of independent second line opinion on first line risk decisions, judgements and proposals in the context of Governance and policy. Conduct periodic reviews and provide independent assurance of first line risk management adherence to agreed standards and regulatory requirements. Key Accountabilities: General Ability to engage with senior leaders in the Bank to support and challenge the development of the Enterprise Risk Policy Framework across level 1 and Level 2 risk types and embedding in 1LoD operations. Demonstrable ability to own and resolve complex issues with multiple stakeholders across the Bank and Group. Ability to constructively challenge senior leaders in the Bank and provide insightful oversight opinions on 1st line of defence proposals relating to Policy. Awareness of latest market practice and opportunities presented by digital and automated technologies. Strong organisational skills and a demonstrable ability deliver multiple activities against a milestone plan. Demonstrable ability to craft and maintain key risk management documents and committee papers. Specific: Support the deployment and maintenance of the banks risk governance framework, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up to date. Support the development and maintenance of the banks risk policy review and ensure that all standards and appropriately documented and communicated. Maintain the level 0 and level 1 risk committee TORs ensuring that are fit for purpose. Develop and execute the processes to review, challenge and provide opinion on business adherence to the enterprise risk policy framework. Maintain process and documentation relating to compliance with enterprise risk policy requirements. Maintain process and documentation relating to effectiveness of risk management committees including BRC, Financial Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk and Conduct Risk committees. Maintain process and documentation relating to alignment of the risk management framework and governance activities to Sabadell Group expectations. Capabilities: Self-motivated, results focussed and driven to achieve high standards of quality. Strong experience in industry or practice relevant to accountabilities. Excellent Communication, Cultural and Embedding practice experience. Ability to tailor message and approach to suit the audience. A strong understanding of Risk-related regulation (e.g. Basel and BCBS 239 Principles for effective risk data aggregation and risk reporting) and Accounting Standards (i.e. IFRS) and its application and impact in the Retail and Corporate banking industry. An understanding of quantitative and qualitative methodologies used in the management of risk. Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills. Proven ability to communicate and influence on complex issues; verbally and in writing particularly to senior leaders Proven ability to use global perspective and diverse views and information to reach optimal solutions. Eliminates unnecessary bureaucracy to enable decision making and retains a long term focus. Proven ability to continuously improve processes and procedures. Understanding of potential digital and automated solutions relating to process improvement. Capabilities: Self-motivated, results focussed and driven to achieve high standards of quality.
